You can now get hold of the ‘2024 Guide to restaurants in Barcelona’
Coinciding with the celebration of Sant Jordi, Barcelona City Council has published the 2024 Guide to restaurants in Barcelona. This is a publication that provides details of all the finalists and winners in the latest edition of the Barcelona Restaurant Awards, an event which the Department of Commerce, Restaurants and Consumer Affairs has been organising since 2017. In total, the book provides information on 100 establishments in the city.
In this guide you’ll discover the restaurants in Barcelona that offer gastronomic excellence, that have strong links with the neighbourhood in which they are located and which incorporate essential values such as sustainability and innovation. In total, Barcelona has more than 10,000 bars and restaurants which are of great value when it comes to maintaining the city’s Mediterranean character, generating progress and cohesion in the day-to-day lives of the neighbourhoods. Each restaurant in this guide has its own identity and is a part of the Barcelona landscape.
“Barcelona is renowned the world over for its architecture, art and, of course, its gastronomy. Our restaurants are at the heart of local culture, and play a crucial role in the identity of Barcelona” recalls Eva Ballarin, member of the jury of the Barcelona Restaurant Awards, in the foreword to the book.
The book is available in Sala Ciutat, a book store that specialises in Barcelona City Council publications, on Carrer Ciutat, 2, in the Ciutat Vella district.
