Alexandre Cirici Pellicer (1914-1983) was the great driving force behind the renovation of art criticism and historiography during the harsh years of the Franco dictatorship. This volume records his experiences and thoughts from 1946 to 1961; it was precisely during those years that he began to establish his prolific professional career in Barcelona following his return from exile. This chronicle comes from a hitherto unpublished literary document written by Cirici himself: the one hundred and thirty-four notebooks that make up his personal diary.
