The situation in all these areas is extremely critical and requires immediate coordinated action from the international community. In response to the call, municipal resources are being mobilised to offer funding to organisations already accredited as expert bodies in humanitarian action and emergencies. The projects put forward are now being evaluated and the process will take into account factors such as the organisations’ previous experience on the ground in the country in question.

This line of aid is a specific instrument applicable to the special subsidies for humanitarian action and emergencies that are activated when needed.
