The aim of this call for applications is to help children and adolescents participate in educational leisure activities carried out by volunteer-based organisations, ensuring that their families’ financial circumstances do not prevent them from enjoying such activities at weekends and during school holidays.

The subsidised projects must support activities of public or social interest that are included in the grant schemes of Barcelona City Council’s Strategic Grant Plan and, specifically, these grants must promote activities that ensure community educational activities are accessible, participative and inclusive for all children in the city of Barcelona.

As such, the subsidised projects must have the following goals:

a. To improve access to leisure activities for children, particularly those from vulnerable families.

b. To promote volunteer-led community activities for children and young people. 

c. To boost networks, providing support to youth associations registered in the Directorate General for Young People’s

Register of Youth Organisations.

D. To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the management and use of resources for volunteer-based organisations that specialise in leisure activities.

e. To foster social cohesion and inclusion through universal access to leisure.

f. To foster social and cultural values and new forms of participation in associations for children and young people.

The above-mentioned grants are available to legal entities or groups of legal entities that meet the requirements established in the terms and conditions and the call for applications.

In accordance with Article 14 of Act 39/2015 of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure of public authorities, with regard to the right and obligation to interact electronically with public authorities, grant applications may only be submitted electronically.

The application must completed and submitted via the City Council’s e-office, following the instructions and using the form indicated on this procedures portal. Applications that are not submitted via Barcelona City Council’s procedures portal will not be accepted.

The application submission period opens the day after the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona (BOPB) and closes on 10 September.
