Barcelona City Council's “Impulsem el que fas” subsidy programme for socio-economic promotion in the territory aims to generate wealth in city neighbourhoods and districts by empowering the actors who develop their socio-economic activities there, promoting the use of the territory’s own resources to further those socio-economic activities in a sustainable way over time and making the city more resilient to economic fluctuations. It has the following categories:

• Category 1: “Amunt persianes” [Shutters up]

• Category 2: Socio-economic innovation and the social and solidarity economy in strategic sectors, focusing on the territory

• Category 3: Fostering high-quality employment in the local area

• Category 4: Responsible and sustainable tourism in the local area

• Category 5: Sustainable food and responsible consumption

• Category 6: Urban last-mile goods distribution centres

The period for submitting applications is from 15 March to 22 April 2022 (both dates inclusive).
