Barcelona City Council

The purpose of this call is to award grants through competitive bidding for projects of any cultural discipline that are of interest to the city, exceptional, unique, and non-periodic in nature, or those that are being promoted for the first time and that will be carried out between 1 January and 31 December 2024 in the city of Barcelona.

Due to their unique and exceptional nature, these activities and proposals promoted by the city's cultural sector provide a special significance and impact in their field, as well as an additional effort beyond the ordinary activity of the organising body, which is why this call aims to support this type of project, as well as those that are being promoted for the first time.

The call consists of three categories:

• Category A: anniversaries, special events and celebrations.
• Modality B: new projects or first editions
• Modality C: strategic projects of an extraordinary nature

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 working days from the day after the publication of the call for applications. Any applications made outside this period will not be accepted.

For the obliged parties of Article 14 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October on the common administrative procedure for public administrations, it is mandatory to complete and submit the application and all the other procedures associated with the grant award process and their justification through the City Council's e-office, following the instructions indicated in this procedure portal.

Legal persons must present the application online.

For individuals and other subjects, applications should also be submitted, preferably online. In the exceptional case of in-person submission, without prejudice to the provisions of article 16 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure for public administrations, these documents may be submitted at any of the offices of the General Register of the districts, management offices or institutes.
