Social cohesion and inclusion must feature as the main objective of the projects that qualify to receive funding, and projects shall be carried out through community actions to foster social relations, a sense of belonging, and cooperation between members of a given community.

Projects must incorporate a gender perspective, along with support and empowerment mechanisms for vulnerable groups, populations with functional diversity, and those from different backgrounds. Pursuant to the objectives of the Directorate of Community Action Services, reflected in the framework document, "Towards a public policy of community action”, projects that receive subsidies should promote activities that are of public or social interest and have the following three-fold transformational intention:

Strengthening (empowerment) of the community.

Improvement of living conditions (responding to needs).

Social inclusion and cohesion.

The application period will run from 28 October to 25 November 2019, both dates inclusive.

The application form must be filled out and sent through the City Council's website, following the instructions provided on this online portal.

By resolution of 21 October 2020, published in the BOPB of 29 October 2020, the deadline for submitting the first monitoring report was extended, established in point 11 of justification and control of the Call for grants for the planning, management and monitoring of the Community Development Plans and Processes in the city of Barcelona 2020-2021, until January 15, 2021, and the content of this first report is MODIFIED (see extension announcement )
