Barcelona City Council

Call for subsidy and grant applications, awarded on a competitive basis, for carrying out community-action plans, programmes and projects between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2023. The projects must last at least eighteen months. There are two categories:

• Category A: planning, managing and monitoring the community development plan and process for the El Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood
• Category B: area-based projects within the framework of community action in the Esquerra de l’Eixample and La Sagrera neighbourhoods

The projects that are subsidised must have social cohesion and inclusion as their main goal and be carried out under community initiatives promoting social relations, a sense of belonging or cooperation between members of a specific community space. The projects must promote activities of public or social interest aimed at transforming:

• the strength (empowerment) of the community
• the improvement of living conditions (responding to needs)
• social inclusion/cohesion

The application submission period is from 13 to 27 May 2022, first and last days included.

The application form must be filled in and submitted to the City Council website, following the instructions provided on this procedures portal.
