Barcelona City Council

The aim of this call is to award subsidies on a competitive basis to carry out projects in any cultural discipline that are of interest to the city, of an exceptional, singular and non-periodic nature, or which are being promoted for the first time, and which will be carried out between 1 January and 31 December 2023 in the city of Barcelona.

These activities and proposals promoted by the city's cultural sector have,  due to their unique and exceptional nature, a special importance and impact in their particular field, and they entail an additional effort beyond the ordinary activity of the organising entity, which is the reason why this call aims to support these kinds of projects and those being promoted for the first time.

The call consists of three categories:

• Category A: anniversaries, special events and celebrations.
• Category B: new projects or first editions.
• Category C: extraordinary projects.

The application submission period is from 26 May to 16 June 2023, both dates included. For subjects bound by article 14 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October on the common administrative procedure of public administrations, it is obligatory to complete and submit the application and carry out all other procedures associated with the award of subsidies and their justification, via electronic means, using Barcelona City Council's procedures portal.  For natural persons and all other subjects, applications should also preferably be submitted by electronic means.
