Call for entries for a new edition of the Collide scientific-artistic residencies
The programme offers a stay of up to three months at CERN (Geneva) and at the Hangar (Barcelona)
27 October marks the opening of the international call for entries for the Collide Residency Awards, a scientific-artistic residency programme taking place in CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, in Geneva (Switzerland), and the Hangar Creation Factory, in Barcelona. The programme is the brainchild of collaboration between the “Arts at CERN” programme with Barcelona City Council and the ICUB, which are joining forces for the second time, after the first experience with the Fabra i Coats - Creation Factory in 2019.
The call is aimed at artists in all disciplines and of any nationality. Collide is looking for artists who are inspired in scientific ideas and technological concepts and with an innovative discourse in their creative expression. The individual or collective selected will be able to enjoy three months of residency in 2021 to continue their research at CERN, working at the side of professionals in particle physics, engineering and information technologies.
“Arts at CERN” is the artistic programme at the world of particle physics’ biggest laboratory and was created to explore the notions of creativity, ingenuity and human creativity.
The Collide project’s call for entries will be open from 27 October to 7 December 2020. You can consult further information on the call in the section on "Resources for creation”. Entries need to be made online from the following link.
