Corpografies #4 at La Caldera
The venue is staging various projects by creators involved in corporeal writings.
The fourth edition of Corpografies hosted this autumn by La Caldera will take place from 17 October to 16 November. This particular thread of the programme schedule of the Les Corts arts factory is centred on corporeal writings and narratives of presence – the body’s capacity to articulate a sensual discourse where the body is text and thought is action.
This October, the cycle’s arts proposals include a double programme on 17 and 18 October featuring a performance of Under Construction by Xavi Manubens and La Forma by Anabella Pareja Robinson. The first is an investigation into the perception of space and its interrelation with the body which fluctuates between the fields of movement, visual-live arts and choreography from the basis of a site-specific exercise. The second project is another investigation that harnesses theory to motivate the dance of joints, textures, volume and skin and in which movement is accompanied by a text to confront the reality of writing and image.
26 and 27 October sees Olga Mesa’s work-in-progress, estO NO eS Mi CuerpO, in which the artist revisits her solo work from the nineties, the first part of the trilogy Res, non verba. This is a personal and innovative investigation that affirms the role of the intimate in representation and features the participation of dancer Natacha Kouznetsova and multi-media artist Francisco Ruiz de Infante.
November will see Corpografies #4 present projects by Lisa Nelson, Georgia Vardarou and Sergi Fäustino. For more information about Corpografies #4, please consult La Caldera’s website.
