Interlinked seas and Mediterranean connections
Art and science session at La Escocesa
‘Mars entrellaçats i interconnexions mediterrànies’ is an invitation to exchange knowledge, approaches and experiences in the company of the Mediterranean Sea. Sessions that conclude on 11 February at La Escocesa.
The sessions aim to generate hospitable conditions for scientists and artists to come together and exchange practices, thoughts and ideas linked to the Mediterranean Sea. One of the project's main starting points is the concept of the sea as a vibrant material, i.e., as a living being that is host to many worlds and, far from being disconnected from other bodies and materials, it has an intimate, interdependent connection with beings that are human and more than human. This is an invitation to tackle, from different perspectives, various approaches that in some way explore the question of what relationships/entanglements we can/wish to imagine/weave in the company of/alongside the Mediterranean Sea, from an anti-colonial and reparative perspective.
This event is curated by Mafe Moscoso.
The programme on 11 February includes interventions from Lorenzo Sandoval, Daniela Medina Poco and Papa Laye (Top Manta) + Marina Monsonís. Find out more here.
