Creadors EN RESIDÈNCIA (Creators IN RESIDENCE) is a programme developed by the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (Barcelona Institute of Culture, ICUB) and the Consorci d'Educació de Barcelona (Barcelona Education Consortium, CEB) and held at various secondary schools in Barcelona. The initiative aims to introduce contemporary creation to public centres of secondary education through regular direct contact between a creative artist and the students. En Residència, in cooperation with the association A Bao A Qu, proposes that artists conceive a work specifically intended to be created with a group of students in compulsory secondary education (ESO) during their time at the school.

For the 2019/2020 EN RESIDÈNCIA course season, 25 artists, 38 teachers and 360 ESO pupils will take part in the programme. Four arts factories from the Barcelona network are joining the project for the task of curating and coordinating various experiences in the schools. Graner will coordinate a residency by João Lima (choreographer, performer and cultural producer) at the Institut Bernat Metge in La Verneda i la Pau. The La Marina arts factory is also involved in the contribution of Sebastián García Ferro (choreographer, dancer, performer, director and composer) at the Institut Escola Antaviana in the Roquetes district. La Caldera will be working alongside Beatriz Fernández (dancer, choreographer and curator) at the Institut Pedralbes in Les Corts. La Central del Circ is organising the residency of Elena Zanzu (artist and researcher) at the Institut Menéndez y Pelayo in Sant Gervasi. Lastly, from their base in Poblenou, Sala Beckett / Obrador Internacional de Dramatúrgia is taking the reins for the commission of Marc Artigau (playwright and stage director) at the Institut L'Alzina in the El Congrés i els Indians neighbourhood, part of the Sant Andreu district of the city.
