At Tantarantana, they are generating international relations which not only help to disseminate Catalonia's stage creations around the world, but also attract international professionals to our city.

Tantarantana has been building bridges between dramaturgy created in Catalonia and in Ibero-America (Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries on both sides of the Atlantic). Every year, the exchange focuses on one guest country.

The first part of the exchange occurs when the texts written by the playwrights of the resident companies are read out in a venue linked to the Tantarantana in that season's guest country. The second part of the exchange consists of a series of staged readings by the guest country, directed and performed by the resident companies at EL CICLO.
