The Nau Côclea Walter Benjamin creation grant
For the last nine years, the Nau Côclea Contemporary Creation Centre has organised a guided route from Banyuls to Portbou which follows the path taken by Walter Benjamin, led by Lisa FittkoI, to cross the border as he fled from the Nazi police, and at the end of which the academic took his own life.
Participants cover the route in the company of an artist, who carries out a project specially created for it, in the spirit of walking art (walking as an artistic practice) in all of its versions and possibilities. The winning project will be carried out during the walk, which will take place on Saturday 21 November 2020.
