Arts Residency at Espronceda

1 May, 2019 - 00:01 to 17 June, 2019 - 23:59

Espronceda – Center for Art & Culture, a hub for innovative and contemporary art, a work space and an exhibition centre, was founded in Barcelona in 2013.  Espronceda offers an international platform and multidisciplinary environment for artists, curators and all those who believe in the importance of art, culture and education for a better and more creative world. Espronceda is organising one residency programme for artists and another for curators and educational and cultural activities. The centre hopes to foster the work of established and emerging international artists and disseminate their work beyond the Espronceda gallery. The centre sprang from the transformation of former industrial spaces into a space for art and culture. Espronceda encourages a connection with the local community and the creation of a global network linking artists, companies and cultural and artistic institutions to achieve social change through art. Espronceda is boosting cultural and intellectual exchange among residents, local artists and students at the Universitat de Barcelona. Consequently, residents can take part in conferences or presentations about their work in seminars and workshops for students.
