The Solidarity Exchange Networks aim to stimulate the social relations of cooperation between the members of a certain area or space of coexistence in the city (neighborhoods or ladders of neighbors, centers or educational and sanitary projects, sports ...) for improving the daily well-being of people. These solidary exchange initiatives can be grouped in four different typologies:
- Time and solidary banks
- Knowledge exchange networks
- Goods exchange networks
- Agro ecologic consume cooperatives
Values such as solidarity, cooperation, reciprocity and transparency are at the basis of these experiences, all of which seek to understand and strengthen citizen ties. The networks of solidarity exchange seek to respond to citizen needs outside the conventional circuits and have been developed from the contribution of people and social groups.
