Located in Casa Nadal and Casa Marquès de Llió, two historic houses in Barcelona’s Carrer Montcada, the Museu Etnològic i de Cultures del Món- Montcada offers a well-conserved historic ensemble that is the result of a long process of transformation. It is an extraordinary historic building that shows the characteristic features of Barcelona from the centuries spanning the Late Mediaeval and Modern periods.

Through its collection, the Museu Etnològic i de Cultures del Món- Montcada brings its visitors closer to the artistic and cultural experiences of the various peoples of Africa, Asia, the Americas and Oceania, showing cultural diversity from a multidisciplinary perspective.

It is a platform for the dissemination and social projection of the heritage and knowledge of other world cultures.
