The Photographic Archive of Barcelona collaborates with various universities, offering internships to their students so that they can complete their university education. 

Mariola is studying for a Master's degree in Archival and Records Management at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and is working on the inventory of the fund of the photographer Santiago Bartolomé. Arnau is a student of the Contemporary History and Today’s World Master's degree at the University of Barcelona (UB). He is preparing a video for the Archive’s Social Media about an event that took place in Barcelona in 1931. He is accompanying it with an essay he is writing on the subject. And Amaia, student for a Master's degree in Cultural Heritage Management and Museology at the University of Barcelona (UB) is working in the centre's Public Programmes department and is mainly concerned with updating the AFB’s website and proposing improvements in cultural advancement.
