Clara Aguilar
Clara Aguilar (1992). Composer and stage and sound artist. She has studied music, has bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Humanities and a master’s in Gender Studies.
She currently works as a performing arts and cinema producer and composer. In theatre, she has worked on more than sixty productions since 2017, with artists such as Sílvia Delagneau (Rave), Marta Pazos (Dique), Carlota Subirós (La Plaça del Diamant, En veure el dolor dels altres, Èdip & Antígona), Alícia Gorina (Aquell dia tèrbol que vaig sortir…) and others; in dance with Marcos Morau (Nachtträume, Totentanz and Wunderkammer) and Lisi Estarás (La Honte); in cinema with Elena Martín (Creatura), Borja Cobeaga and Ginesta Guindal (Su Majestad), Marcela Said (El Puma), Aina Clotet (Oh Nora), Barbara Farré (Selftape) and Mikel Gurrea (Suro) and others; and in music, with John Talabot, Anna Andreu, Verde Prato and others.
She won the 2019 Critics’ Award for Best Sound Design with the Mark Ravenhill production Pool (No Water), directed by the Col·lectiu VVAA. As part of AMOR/ODI at L’Auditori, she directed the production L’amour toujours and co-directed the micro-opera El cel no es guardarà el secret for the CCCB (with Pol Guasch and Sílvia Delagneau). As CLARAGUILAR, she has performed at festivals such as Mutek, Sonar, Festival Flama de Màlaga, BAM and others. She released her second album, Figura, with Lapsus Records in March 2024.
