Irene Pujadas

Irene Pujadas (Sant Just Desvern, 1990) lives in Barcelona. She worked at the magazine Butxaca for five years, has written for publications such as Ara Llegim, La Llança and La Lectora, and has contributed to several short story anthologies. In 2017 she co-founded the fiction magazine Branca and currently works at Angle Editorial. In 2020 she won the Documenta Prize with Els desperfectes (The Imperfect Ones), a short story collection that also received the City of Barcelona Prize. In summer 2024, the story that gives the book its title was published in The New Yorker. La intrusa (The Intruder) (L’Altra Editorial, 2025) is her first novel.
