Marc Güell

Marc Güell, born in Olot in 1982, is ICREA Professor at Pompeu Fabra University. 

His work includes several synthetic biology breakthroughs (radically recoded genome, PERV-free pigs, gene writing, skin microbiome engineering) that have had a major impact (>18,000 citations, 4 companies developing therapies, patents licensed to leading companies).
