Mireia Calafell

Mireia Calafell is a poet. She has published Poètiques del cos (Body Poetics) (2006), which received the Amadeu Oller Prize (2006) and the Anna Dodas Prize (2007) for the Best Book Published by a Previously Unpublished Author, as well as Costures (Seams), winner of the Josep Maria López Picó Prize (2009). With Tantes mudes (So Many Moults) (Benvingut Oliver Prize, 2013), she was awarded the Lletra d’Or for the Best Book published in Catalan in 2014. Nosaltres, qui (We, Who) (2020) received the Mallorca Poetry Prize (2019) and was recognised by the Association of Writers in the Catalan Language as the Best Poetry Collection Published in 2020. Most recently, she won the Carles Riba Prize for Si una emergència (If an Emergency) (2024). She has been co-director of the Poesia i + Festival (2015–2016) and Barcelona Poesia

(2018–2021).
