Sira Abenoza
Sira Abenoza, Born in Igualada in 1980, PhD in Philosophy and director of La Casa dels Clàssics. Alongside her commitment to the universal dissemination of the classics, she is the founder and director of the Institute for Socratic Dialogue, a foundation that promotes Socratic dialogue as a tool for inclusion and the pursuit of justice.
Her work can be seen in the documentaries Filosofia a la presó (Philosophy in Prison) (Best Documentary Award at Seminci, 2015), on the Socratic dialogue course she teaches in Catalan prisons, and In dialogue, which portrays a roundtable with former terrorists in Northern Ireland.
She has worked as a CSR and sustainability consultant in sectors such as banking, energy and agri-food for fifteen years, and has led social entrepreneurship projects in Central America.
She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Society, Politics and Sustainability at ESADE, a researcher at the Institute for Social Innovation and director of the Vicens Vives Programme. She contributes to Núvol and elDiario.es, and is the author of publications such as No consentiràs pensaments impurs (You Shall Not Consent to Impure Thoughts) (Fragmenta, 2024) and Consejo de familia: el órgano que sostiene el salto generacional (Family Council: The Body That Supports the Generational Leap) (Harvard Deusto Business Review, 2025).
