The brain is fascinating: an organ that thinks about itself and studies itself, looking for answers to questions generated within itself. We are only just beginning begun to discover how it works, and one of the key goals is to understand its ability to adapt, regenerate and change. Neurobiologist Mara Dierssen will be talking to doctor and writer Salvador Macip about biological mechanisms that enable brain plasticity. Together, the scientists will discuss the impact of habits, learning, emotions and the environment on the functioning of the central nervous system. This public conversation will help us reflect on one of the most intimate parts of who we are: our own brain.
