Since 2022, Barcelona has been the reference point where Latin American literature from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean meets. A unique, inspiring, fraternal festival, founded on the reciprocal encounters between authors, readers and publishers. KM Amèrica is committed to the convergence of literary generations, innovative ideas, peripheral accents, and the dialogue between Latin American and Catalan literature. What is so special about this event that those who have experienced it define it as ‘the city's literary crossroads’ or ‘the best antidote for writers who are allergic to festivals’? We will discuss this with three authors who have participated in different editions of KM Amèrica, as well as with representatives from the institutions organising the festival, Casa Amèrica Catalunya and Biblioteques de Barcelona.
