Barcelona City Council

With this call, the Institute of Culture aims to promote f experimental and innovative projects that feature citizens as the main focus of action and explore new kinds of language and methodologies in cultural activities and digital creativity. The call for applications revolves around three themes:

• Category A: New media
• Category B: Virtual, augmented and mixed reality
• Type C: Technologies for learning

These grants are for natural persons or legally incorporated legal persons in the fields of culture, creativity and innovation, whose registered office or business activity is in the city of Barcelona and whose business activity has to do with the areas specified in the call for applications.

Ineligibility for the grants:

• Applications from legally incorporated legal persons that manage municipally owned spaces, publicly owned cultural institutions or cultural facilities constituted as public consortiums will be excluded.
• Projects for commercial gain.
• This grant is not compatible with other subsidies or funding

awarded by Barcelona City Council for the same project.

Under Article 14 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, on the shared administrative procedures of public authorities, it is mandatory for legal persons to fill in and submit the application through the Online Procedures Office that is part of Barcelona City Council’s e-Office. Under Article 14.1 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, natural persons can apply remotely via the Online Procedures Office that is part of Barcelona City Council’s e-Office, or in person, by requesting an appointment with a Citizen Help and Information Office (OAC) or an appointment with the Citizen Culture Office (OCCU).

The application period is from 27 June to 3 pm on 18 July 2023.
