Barcelona City Council

Retail associations representing the sector are working closely with Barcelona City Council to promote city and local commerce through a series of initiatives for the Christmas period. The aim is to generate the right atmosphere and conditions for stimulating demand during one of the most important periods of economic activity in the year.

Building on this collaboration, the City Council has now published a call for subsidy applications for Christmas street lights in the city for 2022.

The application period is open from 17 May to 14 June 2022 (inclusive). Any applications made outside this period will not be accepted. Subsidy applications must be submitted online, using Barcelona City Council’s Procedures Website.

Presentation of justification of the subsidised activity: the deadline is 31 March 2022.

By agreement of the Government Commission of September 15, 2022, the budget allocation has been increased by 50,000.00 euros, leaving the overall final budget for the call set at 850,000.00 euros
