Non-profit legal persons may apply for and receive these subsidies provided they are incorporated and active and have their head office or a branch in the district corresponding to the community development plans and processes that are eligible for this call. They will have to carry out the activity envisaged for the award in accordance with the requirements established in the 3rd rule of the rules governing calls for subsidy applications within Barcelona’s community action framework.

Projects that are eligible for the subsidy must have social cohesion and inclusion as their main goal and must be carried out through community initiatives promoting social relations, a sense of belonging and cooperation between members of a specific community space.

The projects must explain active policy strategies for incorporating the gender perspective and attending to and empowering vulnerable groups, populations with functional diversity and from different backgrounds. The projects to be subsidised must promote activities of public or social interest that have transformational intentions, in accordance with the goals of the Community Action Services Department, as reflected in the framework document entitled “Towards Community Action Public Policy” and which are summarised as follows:

• Strengthening (empowerment) of the community.
• Improvement of living conditions (responding to needs).
• Social inclusion or cohesion.

The application-submission period is from 1 to 23 December 2021, first and last days included.
