Municipal council

Made up of 41 councillors elected in municipal elections by Barcelona's residents, the Full Municipal Council is the city's highest representative political body. It is headed by the Mayor. Its notable powers and duties include approving the Municipal Action Plan, the Investment Plan, Byelaws and municipal budgets. Full Council Meetings are held every month.
