Programme of Studies in Philosophy and Digital Art
Hangar is presenting activities on technological artistic creation for the next trimester.
Since 2015, Hangar has been organizing the educational programme in digital arts and philosophy led by Libertar.io, an education lab specialising in technology, philosophy and art. This adopts an experimental pedagogical focus that addresses educational processes as living open-source practices with the potential to configure new forms of knowledge, thereby methodologically exceeding the dividing lines of academic disciplines and dissolving the vertical relations between teacher and student and the separation between theory and practice.
The aim of this programme is to deepen our understanding of technological artistic creation and critical thinking at the intersections between philosophy, computer art and technoscience. Between September and December Hangar will therefore host courses in, for example, algorithmic art, creation of avatars and artificial bodies, video mapping, expanded cinema and augmented reality. In addition, a study group has been set up in which those attending can comment on the works of various chosen artists. At the same time, Hangar will be offering throughout this period a space for free advice for projects under development.
More information about the programme of studies in philosophy and digital art can be found on the Hangar website or by writing to lab@libertar.io.
