This year's Laboratory will be shorter in time (from 5th to 9th August) and have limited capacity in order to respect the current regulations established for leisure and training activities as a result of the Covid-19 crisis. The activities will take place every day from 9 am to 8 pm in Cal Caló de Cortariu (Bellver de Cerdanya) and aim to stimulate and create synergies between the participants themselves and their own projects in order to create several collaborative short films, coinciding with the celebration of the 11th Edition of the Festival.

They are looking for people over the age of 18 and under the age of 35, with different profiles and levels, who want to make films. The aim is to organize and carry out, in 5 days, the short film projects that the participants have thought of or that can be created within the framework of the laboratory, with the resources available at any time.

The creation laboratory has the philosophy of being a place where you work with a collaborative spirit and without competition. It wants to be a space for experimentation and exchange between people who start out in the audiovisual sector and experienced people who relate based on what they have to share so as to grow together professionally. This laboratory is freely inspired by the international Kino Kabaret movement.

There are two ways to participate:

• OPTION 1: To take part in the laboratory with the possibility of accommodation in Cal Caló (Colònies Cadí) with the right to cook (for health reasons). Price: € 200 (€ 130 for grant holders)
• OPTION 2: To take part in the laboratory without accommodation or meals. Price: € 150 (€ 100 for grant holders)

The laboratory will take place in the outdoor spaces of Cal Caló de Cortariu (Bellver de Cerdanya), an ecological and self-sufficient summer camp house in the heart of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.

One part of the laboratory will have regulated activities: a script workshop, an acting workshop, a filming workshop, professional advice on editing and post-production. There will also be on-site screenings every night showing some of the Cerdanya Film Festival sessions (including the finalists session, where participants will be able to vote the audience award under the same conditions as in the session at the Museu Cerdà de Puigcerdà ). Courses will be taught in Catalan and Spanish.

The resulting short films will also be screened on site at the end of the laboratory.

All participants will have the right to distribute the material of this edition for non-commercial purposes, without further limitation than to communicate it in advance to the Festival organizers.
