Exchange grants for artistic residencies between Marseilles and Barcelona

Aim of the call for applications
Hangar, centre for art research and production in Barcelona (Spain), and the Triangle-Astérides, center for contemporary art located in Marseilles (France) are now accepting applications for grants for a cross-artistic research residency programme. The objective of this call is to offer a grant to two artists (1 local artist from Marseilles and its metropolitan area, and one based in Catalonia) of legal age working in the field of visual arts (all media are acceptable).

The Triangle-Asterides program offers
— a 60 m2 studio at Triangle-Astérides (private; not shared);
— curatorial, administrative and logistical support;
— the organisation of professional visits and networking opportunities;
— an Open Studio event at the end of the residency;
— a single room in a 90 m2 apartment with four bedrooms, shared with the other residents and/or guests of Triangle-Astérides (shared bathroom, kitchen and living room) in the city center of Marseilles (in-kind support estimated at 400 euros per room per month). It is possible to apply as a duo, to come with a partner and/or child(ren), taking into account the living conditions allowed by the shared apartment.

Terms and conditions
The selected participant will receive from Hangar a grant of €4450 breakdown as follows:
— A travel allowance of up to €350
— Fees of €500 per month
— A gross allowance of €800 per month
— A research/production grant of €1,500
