Fundació Güell Visual Arts Grant
The Fundació Güell, in partnership with the Reial Cercle Artístic-Institut Barcelonès d'Art and Homesession Arts Visuals, is awarding a grant to young visual artists born or based in Catalan-speaking areas and working in the disciplines of painting, sculpture, installation, photography, drawing and videoart.

Provisions and Benefits
The grant amount will be 4 000 € (including taxes), to be made available in three quarterly advance payments signed by the grant holder at the headquarters of the Fundació Güell. The first payment will be made when the grant decision is publically announced in November, 2018. Furthermore, the grant award will include participation in various events such as exhibitions, university functions, etc, explained in the following sections.
Conditions
The awarding panel will select up to three participants who will present between 1 and 3 works chosen from those included in the dossier of recent projects.
The presentation of the originals will take place between 8 and 11 October, 2018, at the social club of the Reial Cercle Artístic (carrer dels Arcs, 5, Barcelona. Tel. 933 014 676) from 11 am until 2 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm.
The selected works by the 3 finalists will be publically displayed in one of the exhibition halls of the Reial Cercle Artístic, from 15-28 October, 2018. If the work to be exhibited requires computer support or devices (Hardware/software) the candidate will have to provide them in accordance with the advice of the Reial Cercle Artístic.
The panel nominated by the Fundació Güell and Homessession, which will have made its selection of the three competing finalist dossiers, will chose one artist who will benefit from the grant. The panel might invite those participants it deems fit to deliver a verbal presentation of their application.
The grant will be awarded to a project carried out by an individual artist or artists having developed a provable and lasting joint production.
Every three months, the grant holder must give a report on the progress of their project to the association Homesession/Fundació Güell either in writing or in person.
Throughout the whole production period of the project and its exhibition, the artist will receive advice from the Homesession team. Furthermore, Homesession will following the winning artist’s work for a period of no less than two years.

Applicant Submission
Candidates must submit their dossier in a single PDF file, with the following information:
- Project: project for using the grant or its objective, with indication of its length, media, materials and other appropriate and relevant details.
- 10-20 images of recent projects with corresponding fact sheet.
- Artist’s CV and statement: the CV must include certified documentation of identity, places where the applicant has lived and studies completed up to the day of application submission.
- Links to website, videos and/or press articles

Each dossier should be no more than 4 MB in size. Those that do not meet this requirement of file size or do not contain all necessary information will be rejected.
Dossiers can be sent in Catalan or Spanish.
