The three-day programme of activities included top-level talks, networking sessions and even a hackathon – a gathering of programmers and hackers – focused on the use of artificial intelligence in tourism.
The CETT organises the congress in collaboration with UN Tourism and with the support of Barcelona City Council and the Provincial Council.
Strengthening smart tourism
One of the new features of the congress were the Tech Tourism Games: Decentralized Hackathon, a 24-hour competition in which participants worked together and developed cutting-edge technologies to improve the tourism experience. This activity was organised by Tech Tourism Cluster, with partners such as Huawei, Vueling, Wipass and Nubemsystems.
The CETT Smart Tourism Congress has become a space for creating synergies to design the future of smart tourism while also promoting the revival of the tourism sector using innovative, smart and sustainable strategies.
