Barcelona City Council’s new tourism portal
The new website has been revamped to improve user experience and accessibility and make it easier to find information. Barcelona City Council’s new tourism portal provides information on the city’s tourism projects and policies.
The new Turisme website includes useful content such as the Government Measure on Tourism Management 2024-2027, the management of Highly Frequented Spaces and the Tourism Sustainability Plan for Destination Barcelona, as well as data, updated monthly, on tourism in Barcelona.
Accessibility was one of the key factors taken into account when revamping the website. Other goals for improving user experience included reordering and reorganising the content and making it more visible and attractive.
The new website facilitates intuitive browsing, as information can be found quickly and easily. The header also features aerial images of Barcelona which help to make the page more dynamic.
The revamp of the website is part of Barcelona City Council’s Tourism Department’s goal of reaching more users who are interested in finding out about the city’s tourism projects and policies.
