The Montjuïc Funicular will be out of service for five months due to improvement works
Starting October 20, 2025, the Montjuïc Funicular will be out of service for approximately five months due to sewage collector works on Vila i Vilà Street.
This project is necessary to ensure safety and improve the area’s infrastructure.
To facilitate mobility during this period, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) will operate a replacement shuttle bus service connecting Avinguda Paral·lel with the base of the Montjuïc Cable Car.

Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The regular bus line 150 will continue operating between Plaça Espanya and Montjuïc Castle, with a stop at Avinguda Miramar (funicular station).
