The company's work in residence starts from the point of exploring the Castle as another space for story research and participation.
The artefact you will find in the Castle is designed as a confessional without a temple, an intimate space where you can evoke your own memories and add them to those that other people have left behind and that we can also listen to. Thus, in each space where Relatos del cemento enfermo is installed, the sounds, voices and memories already recorded by the confessional mix and dialogue with new sounds, creating a multi-layered archive that collects the singularities of each person that goes into it and the universality of shared struggles.
Relatos del cemento enfermo began its journey from the poetic stories and soundscapes of the Marina neighborhood, the result of the collaboration between Graner, a center for the creation of dance and live arts, as part of the Boombeta cycle and the Castle of Montjuïc. After a period of wandering, he arrives at the Castle to transmit and receive more memories from other people and from other neighborhoods.
