The director, playwright, and choreographer Arantza Labuena invites the creators and dancers Bea Vergés and Reinaldo Ribeiro and the singer, composer, and performer Marina Tomás, to compose an artistic piece at Montjuïc Castle.
They tell us about everything that resists or perseveres, in an exotic way, like an island full of trees in the middle of the ocean, like a drop of fresh water in the middle of the salt flats of Trinidad, like infinite patience, like a raised fist, two warm hearts, full hands... or like a group of women in the middle of a castle.
Kiri Island is part of "Creation and Museums", a cycle of scenic proposals thanks to which artists from various disciplines come into contact with the museums and cultural institutions of Barcelona and interact with their installations and their holdings in a series of theater, dance, circus, or music productions.
A co-production of La Caldera and Montjuïc Castle.
