David Moragas
David Moragas, born in Almoster in 1993, is an author, screenwriter and film director. He holds an undergraduate degree in audiovisual communication from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and pursued a master’s degree in film direction at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York City thanks to a scholarship from Obra Social “la Caixa”.
His films have received several honours, including a Gaudí nomination from the Catalan Cinema Academy for the short film Demà ho deixem [released in English as Tomorrow Then], which won Òmnium Cultural’s VOC award for original Catalan-language films; and a nomination in the Best Editing category for his film A Stormy Night.
Moragas currently lives in Barcelona, where he works as a writer while teaching at Pompeu Fabra University. Fervor is his first novel.
