Roberto G. Alonso
Still going strong after 30 years, the Roberto G. Alonso Company has established itself as a leader in Catalonia and in Spain thanks to its distinctive choreographic language, characterised by the fusion of dance with drama and a quirky, imaginative and elaborate stage concept.
The diversification of their creative work has translated into 11 indoor shows for adults, 4 street choreographies and 7 family pieces.
Their most recent creations are Jo, travesti (2023), a joint production with the Barcelona Grec Festival, Joan Brossa Foundation, Fira Tàrrega and EUROM; Marúnica (2020), a family show co-produced with the Quinzena Metropolitana de Dansa; Laberint striptease (2019), based on the visual poetic universe of Joan Brossa; and A mi no me escribió Tennessee Williams (2016), which premièred as part of FiraTàrrega’s “Support for Creation” Programme.
