Jo, travesti is a work of “alterfiction” that celebrates the art and culture of drag, as well as Catalonia’s long tradition of drag artists and celebrity impersonators dating back to the early twentieth century and continuing to this day.

In something akin to an act of “literary cross-dressing”, the playwright, Josep Maria Miró, has created a piece of autofiction based on Roberto G. Alonso’s biography, which introduces us to some of the leading, ground-breaking figures in the world of drag.

This show combines theatre, music and dance to pay tribute to the art of drag and some of the most famous drag artists of our culture and our theatres.
