Friendship, that unconditional and precious bond, is so important that we often see it as another kind of family, with the advantage that we choose it. For the editor and writer Ramon Mas, ‘friendship is the peak of human relationships’. In his latest novel, Los muros invisibles, he recounts his adolescence and youth, marked by the suicide of a friend that clearly shaped the person he is today. It is a heartfelt tribute that echoes the one in the novel Al otro lado del miedo, in which Marta Orriols explores different kinds of love, with a particular emphasis on friendship through the experiences and intimacy of her main character, Joana. We will speak with both authors about friendship, the inspiration behind so many unforgettable literary works.
