Plan for the Democratic Digitalisation of Schools
Free and secure access to digital technology to all public primary and secondary schools in the city.
Barcelona City Council is launching a pilot project in collaboration with Xnet and the Barcelona Education Consortium to bring free and secure access to digital technology to all public primary and secondary schools in the city.
DD (Democratic Digitalisation) is a pioneering school-digitalisation project which aims to offer a public code alternative to most tools owned by the major technology giants.
The goal is to promote a digitalisation of schools which respects data sovereignty and the digital rights of students, teachers and families.
The DD educational suite is part of the Plan for the Democratic Digitalisation of Schools, designed and led by Xnet and a group of promoter families, and which enjoys the support of Barcelona City Council, the Barcelona Education Consortium and the Associacions Federades de Famílies d'Alumnes de Catalunya [Federated Student Family Associations of Catalonia].
