Barcelona City Council

The aim of these subsidies is to support the renovation of establishments used for worship and by religious organisations in the city of Barcelona to ensure the safety and dignity of those establishments, and to help strengthen the city's associations and improve the quality of the services provided.

Subsidies will be granted for minor works (under Sections 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5 of the bylaw governing municipal intervention procedures) for improvements in the interior of premises

• that will be used as public worship establishments, falling within the scope of Framework Act 7/1980 of 5 July on religious freedom,
• and that will be used for acts of worship or other actions relating to the religious work carried out by associations or organisations linked to the various religious denominations recognised by law.

To be eligible, projects must start no earlier than 1 June 2022 and be completed by 31 December 2023, inclusive. 

Applications may be submitted between 26 May and 23 June 2023
