SEISMES, the party for Fabra i Coats: Creation Factory resident artists, will be back on Saturday 26 November in the afternoon-evening, to coincide with the Festa Major de Sant Andreu.  It is the do-it-yourself event for artistic actions and open proposals conceived to invite interaction with the audience, who are the guests of honour. 

This sixth edition of SEISMES, entitled ‘De sol a sol’ [‘From sunrise to sunset’], celebrates the 10th anniversary of the inauguration of the Creation Factory. In this edition, its doors will be opened wide so that visitors can witness and take part in everything that goes on within its walls. SEISMES 2022 seeks to connect the building itself with the people who have previously and continue to inhabit it, and to carry out an exercise in fiction-future history to understand the factory as a space where production, generation and creation take place in a relational and synergetic way. 

More than sixty artists will take part in SEISMES between 5.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. Throughout the event, they will pay their personal tribute to the neighbourhood and to all those who have passed through Fabra i Coats through more than 30 artistic actions, while at the same time welcoming those who will come to continue the chain of knowledge transmission, human relations and links with the neighbourhood. There will be music, performances, cinema, interviews, trails, installations and movement.

Merino, DAMP Collective, DUAE Collective, Eva Parey, Explica Dansa + Teleduca, Eric Segura - Ominira, Gigi Morralla, Heal + Mark Cunningham, Jana Montllor, Kònic Lab, La Esclusa, Lara Martínez + Laura Paz Muñoz, Livemedia, Efímeres + Íria Llena, Luis Tabuenca + Èlia Genís, Luna Acosta, Meritxell Virgili, Ocloya Studio, Ricardo Cárdenas, Sincro, Stand Up Dance, Toni Jodar + Francesc Bravo and Jessica Moroni.

This year’s title is ‘FROM SUNRISE TO SUNSET’, a reference to the factory’s working method, making the most of the daylight that came through its windows in its workers’ timetables. The resident artists and collectives seek to reflect on the factory, considering its internal workings and its external impact on the wider community. To do so, we will invite past and present employees of the factory, as well as the Friends of Fabra i Coats. 

Music, installations, interviews and stage and artistic performances will be the loudspeaker of the cogs that continues to churn away, transforming with the changes imposed by the inexorable passage of time.
SEISMES 2022 is a project designed by the residents and collectives of the creation factory, with lighting design by Cristina Calderón and Luis Silva and space design by Neus Martínez. The open exhibition has been mediated by Neus Martínez, Clara Aguilar and Ariadna Rulló and coordinated from The Good Good, a platform for the programming, production and communication of cultural projects in music and contemporary arts.
