Everyone remembers the golden age of soul, funk and disco, when bands like Isaac Hayes, Barry White, Earth, Wind & Fire or labels like Motown and Stax mixed African-American music rhythms with strings sections and lush hearts to create unforgettable songs. Now, in the 21st century, the Orchestral Soul Society revitalizes this legacy with a unique show.
We are facing one of the most ambitious projects of the state music scene: an orchestra of twenty musicians and musics of the Catalan scene that recover that way of doing and understanding music to give rise to a show where the jewel of living, dance and happiness are at the center of the equation.
A true Soul Party directed by Lalo López, along with the Barcelona Rock Strings to the strings, and singers like Alex Dee, Brigitte Emaga, Paquito Sex Machine, Jonathan Herrero, Yasmina Azlor, and with surprise guests. And a dream repertoire with themes by Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Isaac Hayes, Jamiroquai, The Crusaders, Prince among others.
