Global initiative for computer-science training in every school.
Barcelona Activa is providing support for this international initiative, whose aim is to give every student at every school in the world an opportunity to learn computer sciences, and to ensure the subject is understood as an essential discipline in the culture of our digital society.
Code.org will be able to connect with the local educational community through Barcelona Activa and make content more accessible, in addition to providing awareness-raising and educational environments and creating a computer-science observatory in Barcelona. Code.org aims, in the long term, to work on incorporating programming, with the Barcelona Education Consortium's involvement and coordination, as a subject in school curricula, as is the case in the USA and Finland.
