25 November Award
Every year since 2005, and within the framework of the Citizen Agreement for a City free of Violence towards Women, Barcelona City Council has called for nominations for the 25 November Award to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Based on the premise that gender violence is a serious violation of human rights, the Council wants to take steps to ensure full citizenship, autonomy and freedom for women in the city.
The aim of the call is to provide financial resources and institutional support that will help the winning project to be carried out. The project must not have already been implemented, but may be in the initial stages of implementation.
Target population
Natural persons, groups, associations and entities based in the city of Barcelona may submit a project.
2025: 20th edition of the award
Under the slogan “Digital violence”, the aim of the call for proposals is to reflect on the urgent need to create safe and trustworthy digital environments, while also promoting tools for self-defence, skills acquisition and digital sovereignty for women and girls of all ages.
