School Network for Non-discrimination and Diversity
‘Schools for Equality and Diversity’ is a pioneering project spearheaded by the Councillor’s Office for Feminism at Barcelona City Council to preventively tackle inequalities and violence from an early age.
Schools for Equality and Diversity is a training, advice and support programme for state-run and state-subsidised schools to work on preventing abusive relationships, gender violence and any form of discrimination, regardless of whether it is on the basis of race, disability, sex, gender, identity, sexual orientation or religion.
This programme is for the educational communities of state-run and state-subsidised private nursery, primary and secondary schools in the city of Barcelona. It runs for two years and focuses on three main themes (romantic/sexual and gender diversity; diversity of origin, culture and religion; disabilities).
